Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Aikhan Hajizade on his Twitter responded to the chairman of the Council of Europe, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iceland Tordis Kolbrun.
Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry spokeswoman said that a peaceful protest rally on the road of Lachin-Khandi with a demand to prevent the illegal operation of natural resources on the Azerbaijani lands and abuse of roads is legal.
“Paradoxically, the representative of Iceland in the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe rejects human rights of hundreds of thousands of forced Azerbaijanis, war crimes and a gross violation of international humanitarian law to Armenia,” the publication says.
Protest, held by representatives of the NGO Azerbaijan in the zone of temporary placement of Russian peacekeepers in Karabakh, lasts the 40th day.
