Iraq and Iran signed an agreement on strengthening cooperation in the field of joint protection and security of borders.
According to the press service of the administration of the head of the Iraqi government, the Prime Minister Muhammad Shiya As-Sudani and Secretary General of the Supreme Council of National Security of Iran Ali Shamhani, a signature of the document in Baghdad, was reported.
Interlocutors also discussed topical issues of the regional agenda.
AS-Sudani noted that Iraq will not allow you to use its territory as a bridgehead to attack neighboring countries.
It is expected that during a visit to Baghdad Shamhani will also meet with Iraq President Abdullatif Rashid and the chairman of the Iraqi parliament Muhammad Halbushi.
