As of August 1, 2023, 14,702 foreign citizens carry out labor activities in Kazakhstan on the permits of local executive bodies in Kazakhstan, the press service of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of Kazakhstan.
Every fourth foreigner working in Kazakhstan is from China (25.6%). This is followed by Uzbekistan – 2 016 people (14%), Turkey – 1,411 people (9.5%) and India – 1,391 people (9.4%).
The most visitors from abroad work in construction (35%), rural, forest and fishing (13%), mining industry and quarries (9%), manufacturing (8%), and also engage in professional , scientific and technical activities (6%).
At the moment in Kazakhstan, there are 1,751 employer using foreign labor (IRS). More than 433.4 thousand citizens of Kazakhstan work on them, which is 96% of the total number of employees.
