15 people were killed in forest fires in Algeria

at least 15 people died, another 26 were injured as a result of the ongoing forest fires in Algeria.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Algeria, 97 foci of forest fires in 16 cities were recorded. The fire spread to the nearest villages, noted in the department.

Currently, 15 dead and 26 victims are known, 500 people are evacuated from the fire zone.

Forest fires continue in the coastal cities of Boomerdes, Buira, Tisi-Uzu, Bedia, Gigel and Skikda.
