168 citizens of Azerbaijan were delivered from Ukraine to Baku

Today at night, 168 Azerbaijani citizens were delivered to Baku, evacuated due to the situation in Ukraine.

Honorary Consul of Ukraine in Azerbaijan Mekhral Gasimov told the Khazar TV channel that citizens were delivered to Chisinau on the ground vehicles specially allocated for these purposes from throughput at the border of Ukraine with Moldova.

Citizens were delivered from the Moldovan capital to the Romanian city of Iasi, and then the plane delivered to Istanbul, and already from there in Baku. According to Honorary Consul Mehral Gasimov, evacuation by airplanes was provided as part of humanitarian aid by Neqsol Holding.

Mehrali Gasimov stressed that the evacuation of citizens continues.

“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs works in reinforced mode, and our embassies and consulates mobilized all their strength,” he said.

Currently, there are about 600 Azerbaijani citizens escaped from Ukraine in Chisinau. According to the Honorary Consul, citizens were posted on the territory of the Azerbaijani Embassy in Moldova, as well as in other places organized by the Embassy.
