18 years in colony for 17 stab strokes

The trial of the 43-year-old resident of the Fizulinsky district Asaph Jafarzade, accused of the murder of Ganaat Farmanova, ended. The murder occurred in the village of Lokbatan of the Garadagsky district of Baku.

As the Haqqın.az correspondent reports with reference to the investigation materials, the woman was killed on February 7 this year in her own apartment – during a quarrel on the basis of jealousy. Jafarzade, who was in a civil marriage with Pharmanova, inflicted 17 beats with a knife.

In court, the accused said that he met Farmanova in 2018. The reason for the quarrel was the connection of a woman with her ex -husband. Having killed his civilian wife, Jafarzade took two mobile phones and TV from her house, for which, by his own admission, he paid himself. After the killer went to his native Fizulinsky district, said goodbye to his family, and then surrendered to the police.

The brother of the deceased in his statement said that before the incident was not familiar with the accused. The sister, who asked him to pick up the body before the murder before the children of Farmanova returned from school. The latter were also not aware of her mother’s relationship with Jafarzade and believed that a man was coming to make repairs in the house.

The court sentenced Asat Jafarzade to 18 years in a maximum security colony.
