It is noted that 20 journalists are killed in the Asia-Pacific region, ten – in North and South America, eight in Africa, six in Europe and one – in the Middle East and in the Arab world. Two more media staff died as a result of an accident in Iran. At the same time, the greatest number of murders of media representatives occurred in Afghanistan (nine cases) and Mexico (eight killed). Four more journalists were killed in India and Troy – in Pakistan. According to the organization, 33 journalists became victims of targeted attacks.
