The new gas field is open north of the South Pars gas field in the south of Iran, said the representative of the Iranian Parliament Energy Commission Maliki Shariah Niaser.
He noted that exploration work is underway at the new gas field. According to preliminary data, its stocks are estimated at 1 trillion cubic meters of natural gas.
