According to Haqqin.az in the State Border Service, on June 7, on the site of the border outpost located in the service territory of the Goradiz border detachment near the village of Bartaz, Bartaz of the Zangilalan district, two unknown violators of the state border in the direction of Iran in Azerbaijan.
Despite the warning fire into the air, the border violators, not obeying the order, showed armed resistance.
As a result of border search and operational measures, one of the border violators was detained. In one package, a narcotic drug – marijuana weighing 5880 grams was discovered and removed. Another violator, taking advantage of the dark weather conditions and the thick woodedness of the terrain, ran back to the territory of Iran.
