In Baku, in a house in the village of Yeni Surakhani, the body of 45-year-old Mahir Shikhaliyev with traces of bodily harm was found.
As reported to haqqin.az in law enforcement agencies, as a result of a preliminary investigation, reasonable suspicions were established that Shikhaliyev’s wife, Gunay, deliberately killed her sleeping husband on the basis of family and domestic relations, inflicting numerous blows on the head with an iron crowbar.
A criminal case was initiated under article 120.1 (premeditated murder) of the Criminal Code. Gunay Shikhalieva was detained as a suspect and brought to justice.
