The Supreme Court of India confirmed on Thursday the right of all women to official abortion for up to 24 weeks, it doesn’t matter if a woman is married or not. Supreme judges for the first time confirmed the equal right to abortion both married women, and those who are not married.
“All women have the right to safely legal abortion up to 24 weeks of pregnancy, the difference between married and unmarried women is unconstitutional,” the common statement of the Supreme Court said.
