Civil activist and journalist Tagi Rahmani called on the European parliament to condemn the protesting death sentences in Iran. Human rights organizations said that the Iranian authorities are going to execute some participants in the movement in an attempt to suppress it.
Rahmani spoke in Brussels EURONEWS about the situation in Iran, where protests on the death of Mahsa Amini have been continuing from September after it was taken into custody by the morals.
“Our people protest against despotism, monopolies and tyranny. They point a finger at Hameni, the leader of the Islamic Republic, who brought our society to very bad economic and social conditions. The regime has not yet shown any retreat, but people also do not give up . There is a serious struggle, ”he believes.
The activist expressed the hope that the international community will provide “real, practical and technical support” as a protester in Iran.
“Of course, we do not want war. We are not for the war. We do not want sanctions that will harm ordinary people, but we want practical steps for the victory of the people,” he said in an interview with Euronews.
