Afghanistan threatens Blackout due to multimillion debts

Afghanistan should pay the four neighboring countries about $ 62 million for consumed electricity, transfers Tolo News TV channel with reference to the Afghan energy corporation Dabs.

According to information, electricity to Afghanistan was supplied by Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Iran.

It is reported that Dabs has already sent the authorities of the exporting countries of electricity than letters with promises to pay debt and not disconnect electricity. Also, the Afghan Corporation appealed to the UN Mission to promote Afghanistan with a call to help repay debt, otherwise the country risks immersed in darkness.

Recall, the executive director of the Islamic Bank of Afghanistan Sayed Musa Kalim Al-Falahi said that the republic on the verge of a financial collapse, because of which the country’s economy depends on foreign aid.
