The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed a farthest radar detection and control of the A-50 of the Russian Air Force.
This was announced on the social network Telegram by the commander of the air forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Nikolai Oleshchuk.
According to this message, the A-50 Air Military Space Forces of the Russian Federation with the call sign “Bayan”
was destroyed.
Oleshchuk in his publication was thanked by the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and everyone who ensured this result.
Ukrainian media reports that the Russian aircraft of long-distance radar traffic and management of the A-50 fell in the area of the Labor of the Labor Armenia of the Kanevsky District of the Krasnodar Territory of Russia.
In the GUR of Ukraine, it was specified that the A-50U was shot down by the forces of Ukrainian military intelligence and air forces, which is a modernized version of the A-50 reconnaissance aircraft.
“This is an air command post used for long -range radar detection, control and guidance for attacks by Ukraine with strategic aviation missiles,” the department noted. According to this information, the aircraft was shot down 215 km from the front line .
