Algeria wants to join Brix

Algeria is interested in joining the BRICS group. This was stated by President Abdelmadzhid Tebbun in an interview with Al Mayadeen.

“Algeria has almost all the conditions for joining BRICS. He is deeply interested in joining this organization,” the president said in an interview.

Now several states want to join the organization. Among them are Iran, Argentina, Turkey, Egypt and Saudi Arabia.

BRICS currently includes five countries: Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa. The group arose in 2006 on the basis of cooperation of the four countries, in 2011 South Africa joined it. The goal of BRICS is a comprehensive partnership at the political, economic and interethnic levels.
