Head of the Police Department of Almaty Rope Taymendenov called the number of those who died in the city during the January events.
“149 people died among the citizens. Among the law enforcement officers were 11 people,” said Timerdenov.
“Radio Azattyk” writes that Taymendenov did not specify the number of victims among the civilian population, which did not participate in the riots, but was the victim of the use of lethal weapons.
Taymendenov reported on seven attacks on the morgue of the city, organized, according to him, “professionally prepared” attacked in the days of emergency. “… At the same time, they did not leave the dead and wounded, and took them with them. These days had seven attacks on the morgue, during which 41 the victims of the dead were kidnapped by unknown persons,” said Timerdenov.
