Almost 118 thousand buildings in the regions affected by earthquakes have collapsed, severely damaged or subject to demolition.
This was stated by the Minister of Ecology and Urban Planning of Turkey Murat Kurum.
According to him, 925 thousand buildings were inspected in 11 provinces affected by earthquakes.
“about 118 thousand of them either collapsed, or severely damaged, or are subject to immediately demolition,” he said on the air of local television.
Kurum promised that during the year the “largest housing construction in these provinces will be held in these provinces.”
