During NATO teachings in Bulgaria, a scandal with the participation of US military has occurred. The Military Group confused the plant for the production of oil with the training zone and “captured” the enterprise, threatening to employees, reports Nova TV channel.
The American military fell into the video when they broke into the workshop for the production of olive oil in the area of Plovdiv, threatening his workers with weapons. As it turned out, the plant is located next to the Military airfield, which was held by NATO exercises. The group of armed soldiers climbed through the fence on the territory of the workshop and began to “storming” the enterprise. Running inside, the soldiers ordered employees not to move and searched the room. Later they explained that they considered this territory part of the training zone, RIA Novosti reports.
The owner of the shop Marin Dimitrov called the emergence that had happened and appealed to the court. Later, the Minister of Defense of Bulgaria Georgi Panayotov apologized for the incident, calling it a “explicit misunderstanding.” The department together with the American party announced its willingness to compensate for victims of material damage.
