An earthquake of magnitude 5.2 occurred in Afghanistan

In the province of Badakhshan in the northeast of Afghanistan, an earthquake of magnitude 5.2 occurred. This was reported by the US Geological Service (USGS).

The earthquake was recorded at 10:22 local time. The epicenter of the tremors was in the Dzhirm area. The focus of the earthquake lay at a depth of 223 km.

The tremors also felt the country neighboring with Afghanistan – Tajikistan and Pakistan.
