An earthquake of magnitude 5.9 occurred in Indonesia

On the Indonesian island of Sumatra, an earthquake of magnitude 5.9.

According to the US Geological Service (USGS), the epicenter of the earthquake was 362 kilometers east of the village of Sinabang (Banda-Achech province), the hearth lay at a depth of 10 kilometers.

The destruction or human victims has not yet been reported. Indonesian agency of meteorology, climatology and geophysics reported that there was no threat of tsunami, but tremors may be repeated.

at least 331 people died as a result of an earthquake of magnitude 5.6, which occurred in the province of West Java on November 21.
