Canadian Minister Anita Anand on Thursday January 26 reported that the government will transfer to Ukraine four Leopard 2 tank on the balance sheet of the Ministry of Defense, TASS reports. She stated that the equipment will be sent to Kyiv in the coming weeks. The country will also send specialists to Ukraine who will help the military master the management of technology.
“Today I announce that Canada will put four Leopard 2 tanks in the coming weeks, – Anand told reporters.
Earlier, US Secretary of State Victoria Nuland said that Washington would not have time to transfer Abrams tanks to Kyiv by spring, when combat operations are expected. She explained that Abrams is a very complex tank and requires significant preparation.
