Antarctica: traces of Mateorite, who has fallen more powerful to Tungussky

Scientists have discovered traces of a meteorite or an asteroid in Antarctica, which was more powerful than the collision of the Earth with a Tungusian meteorite. The fall occurred 430 thousand years ago, the study published in the journal Science Advances.

A group of scientists under the leadership of Matias baths Gienenena discovered traces of this event near Ser-Rondane Mountains located on the Queen Mod Earth in East Antarctica. In their opinion, the meteorite did not leave the crater because of his explosion in the air. Instead, he released a stream of molten material, which reached the ground in the form of a set of tiny particles scattered throughout the study area.

As scientists say, the explosions of such objects occur much more often than direct clashes with the surface of the planet. Because of this, despite the potential high power of such percussion events, it is more difficult to investigate them than crater from other meteorites.
