APL removed Abramovich from Chelsea

The Council of the English Premier League (APL) decided to remove the owner of the London Chelsea Roman Abramovich from the Club Management. About this, as TASS writes, reports the press service of the league.

“After the imposition of sanctions by the Government of Great Britain, the League Council removed the Roman Abramovich from the management of Chelsea,” the statement says.

The United Kingdom on Thursday expanded the sanctions imposed against the Russian Federation, including still seven Russians in a black list, including Abramovich. All those who provided under the sanction persons are denied entry into the territory of the United Kingdom, their assets in the country are subject to freezing, it is also forbidden to make transactions with British individuals and legal entities. Previously, Abramovich stated that he was forced to sell Chelsea after a number of British parliamentarians were made to deprive him of ownership of the club, due to the special operation of Russia in Ukraine. The businessman made a decision to sell Chelsea, exposing the club for sale for 3 billion pounds ($ 4 billion) and transferring control over the club of trustees of the Charitable Fund of the Team.
