Armenian deputy: Pashinyan Party does not agree with wording “Nagorno-Karabakh Republic”

In the text of the response to the statement of the Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan, proposed by the Opposition Bloc “Ayan”, there are formulations with which the authorities of Armenia disagree, the deputy from the ruling “Civil Treaty”, the head of the external relations, Eduard Agadzhanyan, speaking in the parliament of Armenia .

Earlier, the main speaker Andranik Tevanyan stated that the Civil Treaty did not agree with the wording of the “Nagorno-Karabakh Republic” or “Republic of Artsakh”.

According to Agadzhanyan, the formulations proposed by the Ayan faction repeat the theses and narratives that took place in the pre-war period: “The authorities believe that the 30-year-old policy of preserving the status quo led to today’s situation. The Armenian policy for this period led to its diplomatic isolation, ”he said.

According to Agadzhanyan, the super -task of the authorities is to turn the page of this isolation and ensure maximum consolidation of Armenia with the international community.

“The minimum condition for this is to use the terminology that is understandable and acceptable for the international community. The deputy is confident that the wording of the opposition would not contribute to consolidation with the world public, but would give rise to additional risks,” the deputy emphasized.
