Arrested Ukrainian spy turned out to be a member of United Russia

The Federal Security Service of Russia stated that a Ukrainian spy was exposed in an annexed Crimea, a resident of Yalta, who, being a deputy of the city council, “worked” to the Security Service of Ukraine, transferring “Izvestia”.

According to the deputy, the local deputy from 2017 to 2018 collected and transferred the SBU information constituting the state secret. It is reported that a criminal case on the state treason in the form of espionage is initiated against the suspect.

Later, TASS, with reference to the unnamed source, said that the detaineed local deputy was a member of the ruling Russian party “United Russia”.
