Arrestovich predicts: offensive of Russia to Donbass will end in coming weeks

Russia’s offensive in the east of Ukraine will end in two or three weeks. After that, active fighting may stop, and the war will go to the positional phase, said the adviser to the head of the President of Ukraine Alexey Arrestovich in an interview for the publication “Medusa”

“after two or three weeks it will end this offensive. And with it, it is quite possible, the active phase of the war will end, because the Russian troops have nothing more to come,” said Arrestovich.

According to him, Russia collected in the east of Ukraine “penultimate operational reserves”, and everything that they have left is the tired troops in the amount of about 15,000 people who restore combat capability after fighting near Kyiv, Chernigov and Sum.

“I don’t know where they will take new reserves. To prepare them, you need at least a month, or even two. During this time there will be a lot of things. And the sanctions will start acting, and in international terms something will happen, and It is greatly strengthened during this time. And Russia is to strengthen it now, “says Arrestovich.
