Between Azerbaijan and Armenia there is a historical opportunity to achieve the long -term world in the conflict, which began after the collapse of the Soviet Union and lasted more than 30 years, said the assistant Secretary of State for Europe and Eurasia Karen Donfried.
She pointed out that the United States in close coordination with the European Union and other partners encourage Azerbaijan and Armenia to continue negotiations.
According to Donfried, the United States welcome a dialogue aimed at normalizing Turkish-Armenian relations.
She also stated that the assistance to the world between Azerbaijan and Armenia is not only the right step, this is in the interests of the US national security.
