From November 13 to November 19, the Jiu-Jitsu World Championship was held in Abu Dhabi, which also took part six representatives of the Renzo Gracia Azerbaijan Academy.
Athletes of the Academy successfully performed at the international tournament and returned to their homeland with two silver and one bronze medal. In particular, Jafarzade Azer and Safiyev Nijat, speaking in the weight category 62 kg, were awarded silver and bronze medals, respectively, Suleimanov Ayaz, who performed in the category 94 + kg, also awarded the silver medal.
Note that in the tournament, which is held annually in Abu Dhabi, 20 athletes from Azerbaijan took part, 17 of them returned with various medals.
Renzo Gracia Azerbaijan Sport Academy was created in 2020. During this time, the Academy took part in the two championships of the world and from both competitions returned to their homeland with silver and bronze medals.
