Australian Minister of Defense Richard Marls said that there were no hopes for the alive crew members of the MRH90 military helicopter.
At a press conference in Sydney, Marls said that the MRH90 helicopter, crashed during joint exercises with the United States, fell into the water.
“The evidence obtained during the search for the MRH90 helicopter indicate that a disaster had occurred and there is no hope to find their crew alive,” he said.
According to him, from now on all efforts will be aimed at finding fragments of a helicopter.
Marls also noted that the reasons for the crashes in the Air Force inventory of over 40 MRH90 TAIPAN helicopters will not be established.
Australia Air Force helicopter MRH90 crashed near the Hamilton Island during joint exercises with the American military Talisman Saber 2023. There were four crew members on board, which were not found yet.
