Authorities of Ukraine obliged Monks of UOC to leave Kiev Pechersk Lavra within three days

The Ukrainian authorities demanded from the Ukrainian Orthodox Church to immediately stop using the objects of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra and obliged the leadership of the UOC and monks to leave this monastery over the next three days, said Minister of Culture of Ukraine Alexander Tkachenko.

On Tuesday, Tkachenko said that the Ministry of Culture on the acceptance and transfer of property of the Lavra completed work and confirmed the transfer of objects of the monastery for use of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra Reserve.

“Now, after the reserve sent the UOC -MP to the UPC for urgent dismissal, termination of use and return to the reserve of its property, the latter should do this within three business days from the date of their receipt. If the case is refused, there will be a court to accept the appropriate Decisions to eliminate the obstacles of the reserve in the use of property, ”Tkachenko wrote in his telegram channel.

According to him, in total, 79 Lavra objects were checked and returned to the state of the state.

“All in different states. The UOC -MP is allowed unauthorized restructuring, completion, redevelopment of cultural heritage monuments and the construction of new buildings in the reserve. We will still deal with all this,” the minister said, emphasizing that the Kiev Pechersk Lavra “should be” should be Ukrainian “.
