The Ministry of Health was a meeting with a delegation, led by the head of the practice in the field of health, nutrition and population of the World Bank for the region of Europe and Central Asia Tanya Dmitrachenko, the press service of the Ministry of Health said in the press service of the Ministry of Health.
Having greeted the guests, the Minister of Health Teymur Musaev emphasized that Azerbaijan attaches great importance to cooperation with the World Bank, the most influential world financial institution. Noting that the use of digital technologies is the basis of reforms in the healthcare system, Teimur Musaev emphasized that the improvement of the healthcare system is a priority issue for Azerbaijan.
According to the minister, regular meetings of the Ministry of Health with the Missions of the World Bank give a powerful impetus to strengthen cooperation: “Each meeting brings us closer to the main goal – improvement of the electronic health strategy of Azerbaijan.”
In turn, Tanya Dmittrachenko, emphasizing the fruitful cooperation between the World Bank and Azerbaijan, expressed support for the reforms carried out in the Azerbaijani healthcare system.
Then the delegation of the World Bank presented the project “Development of the National Strategy for Healthcare of Azerbaijan for 2022-2026”.
During the meeting held in a constructive and friendly atmosphere, the parties also discussed the implementation of the technical assistance project in the development of electronic health strategy in Azerbaijan.
