Azerbaijan and Qatar sent their aircraft to the aid of Turkey, which fights a powerful forest fire near the resort city of Marmaris, reports Associated Press.
According to the Minister of Forestry, Vakhit Kirshichi, the fire may be close to localization, but the task is complicated by strong gusts of wind, because of which the flame quickly spreads.
Qatar invited Turkey to send three helicopters, and Azerbaijan – one aircraft to help in extinguishing a fire.
The head of the Ministry of Health of the country Fakhrettin Kodja reported on his Twitter that at least 29 people were injured from the fire, 12 of whom were taken to the hospital with ambulances.
On the eve of the authorities, they detained a 34-year-old man who allegedly admitted to arson after a quarrel with family members, said Minister of the Interior Suleiman Soil.
