Romania from January 1, 2023 began the purchase of gas from Azerbaijan in accordance with the Agreement concluded on December 16 last year between the Gosneft Text Companion of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) and the Romanian Romgaz S.A.
The agreement provides for the planned transportation of natural gas from January 1, 2023 from the Greece-Komotini Department of the Transadriatic gas pipeline (TAP), the European branch of the southern gas corridor, through the Greece-Bolgaria gas interprefonctor (IGB).
A contract for the supply of Azerbaijani gas to Romania provides for 300 million cubic meters of blue fuel until April 1.
