On the eve of Baku, a presentation of a roadmap was held for 2022-2023 of the Provalum Business environment project of the World Bank for the implementation of improvements in the corresponding area in the indicator “Connection to utilities (electric networks)”.
Speaking at an event organized at the Center for the Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication, Deputy Minister of Energy, Head of the Working Group “Connecting to power supply networks” of the business environment and international ratings, Deputy Minister of Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan Samir Veliev informed about pre-entrepreneurial measures In the area of connection to the mains. It was noted that the roadmap for the “Connection to Communal Services” indicator, developed with the participation of members of the working group and developed by the attracted consulting company, was approved by the business environment and international ratings.
The event also noted that the measures were reflected in the roadmap for 4 driver, 5 components and 10 subcomuscents in such areas as the quality of rules in the communal sphere, indicators and transparency of utilities, the effectiveness of their implementation, conducting information and educational work. These measures mainly relate to the regulatory framework for joining power supply networks, utility safety and quality of supply, tariffs and other directions.
The head of the Commission Secretariat, the head of the Azerbaijani Presidential Administration, Vyusal Shikhaliev, spoke about the project of the Favorable Business environment and shared his opinion about the importance of the approved roadmap. And the deputy chairman of Azerishig OJSC Ramil Yusifov emphasized the positive impact of measures provided for by the document on the quality of services for connecting to the power supply network.
The head of the Department of the Ministry of Energy, Rauf Gurbanov made a presentation of the road map of the Ministry of Energy and the Agency for Regulating Energy issues at the ministry, spoke about planned events and upcoming tasks.

The impact of this work on the correct and operational organization of connection to the power supply networks was noted, and information on electronizing public services for connecting to utilities and expanding the capabilities of online applications.
