The national teams of Azerbaijan, Mira, Turkey, Kyrgyzstan and Iran are in the Sports Palace.
Azerbaijani team in group “B” along with the world team. Serbia was also supposed to perform in this group, but the Serbs could not come at the last moment, since most of the team fell ill with coronavirus.
As a result, Azerbaijan and the world received a technical victory over Serbia and in full -time confrontation determined the winner of the group, that is, the finalist of the World Cup.
Azerbaijani team with difficulty, but still defeated the world team. The match, consisting of ten fights, ended with a score of 5: 5. However, due to the fact that Azerbaijani wrestlers won with a larger difference, our team reached the final.
Eldeniz Azizley (55 kg) defeated Georgian Nugzari Tsurtsumia (9: 0). Murad Mammadov (60 kg) lost to the Kazakh Aidos Sultangali (1: 4). Taleh Mammadov (63 kg) prevailed over another Georgian fighter Leri Abuladze and brought our command forward – 2: 1.
Khasret Jafarov (67 kg) also defeated the athlete from Georgia – Joni Hotsuriani (5: 0). The score was 3: 1. Then Ulvi Ganizade (72 kg) lost to the Ukrainian Andrei Kulik (1: 7). A gap of two points was restored by Sanan Suleimanov, who with a score of 8: 1 defeated Vengra Zoltan Levai. The account in the match became – 4: 2.
The fifth and last point of the Azerbaijani team in this match was brought by Rafik Huseynov (82 kg). He won Berdimuratov (3: 1).
Unfortunately, then the world team won three consecutive victories. Murad Akhmadiev (87 kg) lost to the Swede to Alex Kessidis (2: 3), Arif Niftullaev (97 kg) – Georgian Nikoloza Kahelashvili (1: 5), and Sabah Shariai (130 kg) – Lithuanian Mantas Knystautas (1: 5). However, this was not enough, and the winner of the Azerbaijani team was announced.
Tomorrow, our fighters will perform in the final. The rival will be Iran, who today defeated Turkey (6: 4) and Kyrgyzstan (8: 2).
