November 24, 2022, 16 citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan, who were kept in camps located on the territory of Syria, were repatriated to Azerbaijan, the Azerbaijan Foreign Ministry said.
It is reported that among the repatriated 13 children and 3 women.
Representatives of the relevant state institutions responsible for the repatriation of Azerbaijani citizens from Iraq and Syria were sent to Turkey, which provided a preliminary medical and psychological examination of repatriates.
Note that in total, 409 citizens were repatriated to Azerbaijan from Iraq and Syria, including 380 children and 29 women.
