Milli Majlis at today’s meeting adopted in the first reading a bill on amendment to the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan. According to the amendment, from now on, sexual violence against persons who have not reached the age of fourteen will be punished by deprivation of liberty for up to 20 years.
Previously, such acts were punishable by deprivation of liberty for a term of ten to fifteen years.
