Today, in Tel Aviv, the European rhythmic gymnastics championship has started.
On the first day, juniors went to the carpet. In all four types, Azerbaijani athletes made their way to the final. Kamila Gafarova reached the final with a hoop and maces, Alina Mamedova – with the ball, Medina Damirova – with a ribbon. The finals will take place tomorrow.
In team competitions, Azerbaijan took 7th place among 33 countries. Israel, Romania and Bulgaria are located in the first three.
Tomorrow, competitions of adult gymnasts will also start, where Azerbaijan will be presented by Zora Agamirova and Arza Jalilova.
Azerbaijan group will also perform at the euro, which will go to Israel tomorrow. The European Championship will end on June 19.
