The State Committee for Work with the Diaspora (GCD) took an event dedicated to the 99th anniversary of the birth of the founder of the modern Azerbaijani state, the outstanding statesman Heydar Aliyev.
After the demonstration of the film about the national leader, the chairman of the State Committee Foid Muradov spoke about significant facts of life and activity, as well as exclusive merits of the genius person in the creation and strengthening of the independent Azerbaijani Republic, the formation of the Azerbaijani diaspora. It was noted that the national leader put forward the ideology of Azerbaijanism, which ensured the attachment of our compatriots living abroad to the historical homeland, founded the idea of the solidarity of the Azerbaijanis of the world, constantly paid attention to the formation and organizational formation of the Azerbaijani diaspora, the main directions of lobbying activity.
The event was attended by representatives of Azerbaijani diaspora organizations operating in the USA, Mexico, Great Britain, France, Germany, Sweden, Netherlands, Lithuania, Russia, Turkey and Ukraine. The representatives of the diaspora stated that the idea of uniting the Azerbaijanis of the world belonging to the national leader and today is successfully continuing. The revival of the valiant Azerbaijani army led by the President, the Supreme Commander -in -Chief of Ilham Aliyev led to the restoration of the country’s territorial integrity, contributed to the closer and organized consolidation of the Azerbaijani in the world, their demonstration of unprecedented unity and solidarity. The event emphasized that recently held in the cultural capital of Azerbaijan Shusha V Congress of Azerbaijani in the world once again demonstrated these achievements.
