Over the past three years, Bakcell has invested 226 million manat in the economy of Azerbaijan. These investments aimed at continuing and further development of the Company will also contribute to an increase in the volume of the gross domestic product of Azerbaijan in the long run.
A significant part of this amount is invested in the development of telecommunication infrastructure, the expansion of the 4G network coverage in the regions of the country and the deployment of a high-quality mobile network in Karabakh.
At the same time, Bakcell, implementing a large-scale corporate social responsibility program, has invested significant funds in a number of social projects. These include company projects aimed at combating pandemic, reducing the effects of the Second Karabakh war, restoring Karabakh and creating equal conditions for children and young people with disabilities.
Bakcell will continue to invest significant funds in the economy of Azerbaijan, contributing to the development of the country’s telecommunications sector. In 2021, Bakcell’s mobile network was once again named Ookla® by the fastest network in Azerbaijan.
Today, the Bakcell network has more than 8,700 base stations, covers 99.9% of the population of Azerbaijan and 92.4% of the country.
