Bakcell – Winner of National Award CSR 2020

Bakcell is declared the winner of the National Corporate Social Responsibility Award 2020 (Milli KSM Mükafatı 2020). The award was awarded in the nomination “Strong health and well-being” for the work of the company as part of a large-scale action plan for supporting Azerbaijan citizens during a special quarantine regime.

So, the company listed 1.5 million manat to the Coronavirus Fight Support Fund, and highlighted large financial resources to deliver special medical equipment for artificial respiration to Azerbaijan, tools for automatic temperature measurement, and express tests to identify coronavirus. In addition, Bakcell provided free maps of payments to medical professionals of all quarantine centers, and subscribers located on quarantine in certain quarantine centers. At the same time, Bakcell has implemented product aid for 650 poor families living in the village of Bina Baku.

To ensure the safety of subscribers and employees during a pandemic period and to carry out the necessary educational work in this area, Bakcell has implemented long-term information and communication programs, and also created the necessary conditions for the work of its employees from the house.

The main goal of the National CSR award, which is organized for the third time in a row, is an increase in the number of CSR projects and charitable activities implemented in the country as a continuation of state policy and social projects implemented by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, as well as wider coverage of activities. Companies carrying out social projects.

The commission that determined the winners of the National Award CSR 2020 included representatives of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the population of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Asan Xidmət, the State Committee for Family Affairs , women and children of Azerbaijan, the national confederation of entrepreneurs (employers) of Azerbaijan, the Association for the Development of Women’s Entrepreneurship in Azerbaijan and the Agency ProKTİV Pr.
