Baku buses are rapidly moving on non-cash: 12 routes in one month

The process of expanding the coverage of non-cash payments in passenger transportation continues. In accordance with the instructions of the head of state over the past five years, important steps were taken in this direction. 58% of buses operated in the capital’s route network are integrated into the cashless payment system.

As stated by HaqQin.az in the Baku Transport Agency, currently about 780 thousand passengers (42% of the total number of passengers) use the services of a cashless payment system (42% of the total number of passengers).

It is worth noting that the introduction of a cashless payment system is extremely useful in terms of turnover transparency, increasing tax payments, design work relations, improving the social welfare of drivers and other employees.

The non-cash payment system also has a positive impact on structural and qualitative changes in the development of entrepreneurship in this sector.

As stated in BTA, from the second June, travels in the buses following the route number 144 (village Buzovna-village Mardakyan) will be paid via Bakıkart.

On the territory of the towns also installed POS terminals for replenishing the balance Bakıkart

In accordance with the workflow, other route lines will also be gradually integrated into the non-cash payment system. The public will be informed about this in advance.
