In Baku, the development of tourist relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey was discussed.
According to the Association of hotel hotels (TüRob), during the coordination of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Turkey, a seminar on the development of tourism was held in Baku.
The seminar was attended by representatives of the Agency for the Development and Promotion of Tourism of Turkey, Turob and the airline Türk Hava Yolları.
The head of TüRob, Muburra Eresin, said that the number of tourists from Azerbaijan in Turkey increased to indicators to the pandemic.
According to him, in 2022, about 700 thousand tourists from Azerbaijan visited Turkey.
“We predict that this number will increase to 1 million in the near future. Turkey has become the main tourist destination for Azerbaijani tourists in 2022. 315 thousand tourists arrived from Turkey to Azerbaijan. Thus, Azerbaijan is included in the TOP -5 tourist destinations for Turkish citizens. This indicates that Azerbaijan is also important for Turkey from the point of view of tourism. Azerbaijan has the potential to accept a larger number of tourists from Turkey. The most attractive in Azerbaijan for Turkish tourists is local cuisine, the possibilities of summer and winter tourism , cultural monuments, medicine and others, ”he said.
