Baku discussed use of advanced technologies in healthcare

In Baku, the 1st International Conference on Evaluation of Medical Technologies in Health Reforms was held. The organizers are the Ministry of Health, the Center for Public Health and Reforms, the Azerbaijan Medical University and the International Organization for the Assessment of Health Technologies.

The main goal of the conference organization is to familiarize the healthcare system of the regional countries with advanced technologies based on world experience and promote its development, increase the availability of the population to quality health services by adapting to new standards.

Viya Oortvein, President of the International Organization for the Assessment of Health Technologies, spoke about the importance of developing health care technologies for all countries of the region and its benefits to protect society.

Nadir Zeynalov, Deputy Minister of Health, emphasized the importance of the work carried out in the direction of introducing technologies in Azerbaijani, healthcare, noted that trainings were carried out in this direction and said that this conference will help to conduct the appropriate dialogue in the political plane.

In discussions conducted with the participation of representatives of the United States, Turkey, Poland, Ukraine, Netherlands, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan, there was an effective exchange of ideas towards expanding cooperation and development of health technologies in the region.
