Baku: killer of Avaz Hafizley continues to judge in Baku

In the Baku court for serious crimes, a court was held in the criminal case of the cousin of Amrulla Gulaliev, accused of the murder of 24-year-old Avaz Shikhmamedov (Avaz Hafizley).

According to haqqın.az, during the process the prosecutor announced the indictment.

The accused Amrullah Gulaliev found himself guilty for the charges against him. In his testimony, he said that he had repeatedly quarreled with his consolidated cousin-Geum Avaz Hafizi and called him to “return to the right path” and not disgrace the honor of his kind.

According to the accused, the murder occurred at the time of one of these “calls.” Gulaliev claimed that he killed Avaz on emotions, at the time of the dispute, did not remember how he did and regrets his actions. The accused also recalled that after the murder he voluntarily surrendered to the police.

Justifying his actions, Gulaliyev said that the unconventional lifestyle of Shikhmamedov was directly reflected on it – familiar at every opportunity reminded the man of the sexual orientation of his combined cousin.

Later, a statement of the accused was announced. In them, Gulaliev said that he planned the murder in advance.

Tabriz Shikhmamedov, the brother of the deceased, said in his testimony that before the murder he did not know anything about the lifestyle of Avaz and said that his family members had no complaints about the accused.

Uncle Avaz Jahun Shikhmamedov said that over the past 5 years he had not communicated with his nephew.
