Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jahun Bayramov today held a telephone conversation with the assistant Secretary of State on Europe and Eurasia Karen Donfried.
During the telephone conversation, Bayramov and Donfried exchanged views on the current state and prospects of the peace process between Baku and Yerevan, as well as on various issues of the agenda of cooperation between Azerbaijan and the USA.
Bayramov informed his interlocutor about the current state of negotiations with Armenia, efforts to open communications and delimitation issues. Along with this, he pointed out the last illegal actions carried out using the Lachin road.
Donfried, in turn, emphasized that the United States supports efforts to ensure stability in the region, noting the importance of promoting the peace process in accordance with the reached agreements between the officials of both countries.
