On Tuesday, September 13, a telephone conversation was held between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Jehun Bayramov and assistant US Secretary of State for European and Eurasia Karen Donfried.
According to Haqqin.az, the Foreign Ministry, during the conversation, was discussed clashes and tension as a result of a large -scale provocation of Armenia.
JAIHUN BAYAMOMA informed DONFRID on the large -scale provocations of the Armed Forces of Armenia in the territories bordering with Azerbaijan, as well as the measures taken to prevent military threats and sovereignty of Azerbaijani, to ensure the security of military personnel, including civilian workers.
Foreign Minister emphasized that Armenia over the past month is constantly shelling the positions and civilian population of Azerbaijan, increases forces along the borders of Azerbaijan, continues to work on the mining of the territories, which is an indicator that Armenia is preparing for a large -scale military provocation.
In turn, Karen Donfried expressed concern about growing tension and military clashes in the region and called for immediate termination of hostilities.
