Belarus and Ethiopia – supporters of strengthening the principles of multilaterality in world affairs and a collective search for answers to global challenges.
This is stated in the congratulatory message of the President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, addressed to the President of Ethiopia Sahle-Vork Zevde in connection with the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
The main achievement in bilateral relations for this period can be considered a strong friendship between the peoples of Belarus and Ethiopia, gives the words of the head of the Belarusian state his press service on Saturday, May 18.
Lukashenko noted that all three decades Minsk and Addis Ababa adhered to the traditions of goodwill and trust.
“Both countries are consistent supporters of strengthening the principles of multilaterality in world affairs, a collective search for answers to global challenges and threats based on international law, respect for the identity of the peoples and their ability to determine their future. This made it possible to lay a strong basis for the progressive development of Belarusian -Ethiopian cooperation, ”Lukashenko said.
The head of state emphasized that now Ethiopia is a very significant and reliable partner in the African region.
“I believe that the time has come to raise bilateral interaction to a qualitatively new level, fill it with significant practical content in order to get tangible results in the economic and humanitarian spheres,” the president said.
