Biden considers sending troops to Eastern Europe

US President Joe Biden considers the possibility of accommodating several thousand US military, ships and aviation in the Baltic States and Eastern Europe, transfers the New York Times.

As the newspaper notes, the expansion of American military participation can occur against the background of the growth of concerns of Russia’s invasion of Russia. Pentagon’s high-ranking officials offered to Bidenu several options to move the American military much closer to Russia.

“These options include sending from 1,000 to 5,000 servicemen to the countries of Eastern Europe with the possibility of increasing this number of ten times in case of a deterioration in the situation,” the article says.
