Biden resolved direct assistance to US Azerbaijan

US President Joe Biden extended the suspension of the 907th amendment to the “act in support of freedom”, as a result of which direct assistance to US Azerbaijan is permitted, transfers HaqQin.az with reference to foreign media.

Note that the 907th amendment was adopted by Congress in 1992 and prohibited assistance to Baku on the government line by the American administration in connection with the conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan. However, after the terrorist attack on September 11, 2001, the Congress adopted the law on the appropriation of foreign operations, providing the president the right to refuse the 907th amendment. It took the United States when it was necessary to supply American troops in Afghanistan.
